Internet Friends and Their Quest for Health: Week 8

Hello everyone and welcome to week 8 in the quest of a few internet friends who are trying to get healthy! We want to motivate one another and help each other get on the right track by working out, eating right, and reaching a great state of mind in the process. Join us weekly as we share our personal journey’s and stats to show you all that if we can do it, so can you!


I started my new job this week and with a new job comes new food and a lot of people wanting to take you or join you for lunch. I am also now working in the city and that is making it even harder to eat well. But I am trying hard and making healthy choices like salad and soup. I am not down any weight this week, but I can feel the stress wash over me as i begin my journey to a new career!

Wish I had some amazing news lol However…. so not the case! Vacation is officially over, and I did start working out again Monday night just like I planned. I am back up to 299lbs (boooo) but I know the food I ate had a lot to do with that. Too many chips etc.. causing huge amounts of water weight hanging around. Abundant grains, inflaming joints and causing general mayhem.  My food has been cleaned up, exercise is back on track, hopefully I will see the extra weight and water weight come off fairly quickly again.  My birthday is coming up in a few months and I’d really like to have to buy some new clothes for it this year LOL

Last week was another typical week – run a lot; eat a lot more. That being said, I had an awesome, awesome running week. I’ve never run more than 50 miles in a week on the treadmill. Outside, yeah – I mean, it’s outside. Running is so much better outside. But with the help of Nurse Jackie, I reached this milestone.
We’re not going to talk about my diet this week. New topic.
There are 6 days left in this month, and I have less than 50 miles to go until I reach 400 miles for the year. I think I can do it by the end of February. It’s gonna hurt. It’s gonna be boring as all hell. But I might go for it. Might.
