Hello everyone and welcome to week 40 in the quest of a few internet friends who are trying to get healthy! We want to motivate one another and help each other get on the right track by working out, eating right, and reaching a great state of mind in the process. Join us weekly as we share our personal journey’s and stats to show you all that if we can do it, so can you!


I am back into the swing of things and working out in the mornings. I need to really focus on the dieting though as that is killing me. I just want to eat all the carbs and no protein. That is something I really need to take a focus on the rest of this week. I think that if I am very diligent about logging that would help me out a ton!  Wanna chat about diet or exercise? I’m taking an unplanned rest day today after a visit to the chiropractor yesterday.My hips are all kinds of messed up, so I’m going to let those adjustments sit. I did manage a treadmill half marathon yesterday, mainly since I knew I wouldn’t be running today. It felt pretty good, and it’s the first one I’ve gotten in since recovering from that leg thing that was plaguing me.
Food. Yeah. I don’t wanna talk about it.

I limited my lifting this week as my shoulder is still bothering me from whatever the heck I did to it two weeks ago. Well, except Monday, when I tried to lift and found that it still hurt so I worked around it. I’ll probably repeat this this week. Now that I’m not in my 20s anymore, I feel slightly less immortal. I’ve learned its best not to try to power through certain injuries. A little patience can save you a lot of trouble here. On Monday, I lifted, focusing mostly on core and legs with a little bit of upper body as tolerated. On Wednesday, I ran 5 miles outside. On Thursday, I did hanging leg raises, then ran 2.3 miles on the treadmill, and did 2.2 more on the stationary bike. Soccer game on Sunday morning. After falling into an 0-2 hole, we came back to win 3-2, so that was nice. That’s all this week!


Dear Diary, Working on my mental health and trying desperately not to slide into a depression. I’m so glad I have a healthy therapist. I’ll try more sit-ups this week. Maybe I’ll get to “1”. Pixie (who is still eating properly for the most part at least.)
