Hello everyone and welcome to week 36 in the quest of a few internet friends who are trying to get healthy! We want to motivate one another and help each other get on the right track by working out, eating right, and reaching a great state of mind in the process. Join us weekly as we share our personal journey’s and stats to show you all that if we can do it, so can you!
I have officially stopped paying for all my methods of working out. Taekwondo and the YMCA are taking a bit of a pause while we work on paying off this massive remodel. I am sad but it needs to happen for a while. This does not mean that I will stop working out, just that I have not started my morning routine yet. We have been working like crazy in the attic and that counts as exercise right? I have been eating really well and am happy to focus on that for now. Wanna chat about diet or exercise? So tracking on MFP again has been great, I’ve gone over only once in the last week, and I call that a *win* for sure! It wasn’t even with nachos haha It’s been stressful here lately, haven’t lost a whole lot but at least I’ve stopped the number from climbing more! Hopefully I’ll see some numbers change soon! Until next week!

When I consider my achievements regarding health this last week, two words come to mind: abysmal failure. Emphasis on the “abysmal.”
It all started when I went to get a long-awaited and much-needed Bestie tattoo with my best bestie, Trey (Holla, Bestie <3). That was last Monday, and as it was on my foot, I decided to treat myself to a random rest day on Tuesday. I only ever rest on Thursdays and Sundays, so this was epic for me. Well, then Thursday rolled around, and I hated to mess with my schedule, so I took that day off, too. And then Friday happened. I was supposed to go on my first ever overnight trip with my husband since having our daughter on Saturday night. She is 2.5. Yeah, you read that right. Anyways, there were some complications with my parents and the sitting situation, so we rescheduled to this coming Saturday. My daughter had the sniffles and I had a fun cough, so it was kind of a good thing that we couldn’t go out. But, I used this as an excuse to drown my sorrows in deep-fried goodness on Friday. And staying up late to do so. So I figured, what the heck, I’ll take another rest day. Then I figured, what the heck, I’ll eat half a pizza and 3 breadsticks. I NEVER eat pizza. I don’t even particularly LIKE pizza. But I needed it. Something inside me yearned for carbs and I fed that need. Repeatedly.
I was goodish Sunday, and then on Monday we visited my dad. Apparently, back-to-school time makes Dad think about how he used to make me a metric ton of mini pepperoni rolls to pack in my little girl school lunches throughout the first months of school. Why he decided that his 31-year-old daughter needed to be prepared for brown-bagging it is beyond me, but the thought was adorable and I just had to eat one. Err…6.
Fail. Fail. Fail. Just fail. I’m on track for exercising so far, and today I have been good on the diet. I already know that Saturday will be bad, since that is the re-scheduled date night. That’s ok. I just REALLY need back on one cheat a week. Ugh. Ugh. Mergh. That is all.

Hey… some of my size large shirts are starting to feel a little luxurious, and those mediums I buried in my dresser a few years ago don’t look like they were made for hobbits anymore. On Monday, I lifted, focusing on chest, back, core, and legs. On Tuesday, I ran 5 miles outside. On Friday, I lifted, focusing on arms, shoulders, core, and legs. No soccer this weekend, but I had two days of stripping wallpaper for a bedroom remodel at home. I hate wallpaper. That is all.
Actually, things are going really well. Last week at my monthly doctor’s appointment, she weighed me *Day 1 of this current #100days cycle*, and I have lost 12lb since the end of May. Not bad, considering I’ve moved three times since then, and lived in two countries in that time. Routines? NOOOOPE.
But I’m not overdoing it, I’m sticking with my meds, and I’m maintaining my proper water intake. Now, if I could just quit grinding my teeth…
