Hi all! Sar here with another fitness update! This week I am doing a Challenge with our Healthy Group called Work Out Like The Rock Week. I am having a BLAST. Now we all know that The Rock is an amazing person physically and mentally, but I never realized just how hard he worked out! I am not doing the weights as high as he is obviously, but I am following his moves and I can tell you that my butt hurts, my legs hurt, and my back hurts and that is just after two days! Today was day 3 and it was shoulders and I know they will feel the burn. Pro Tip – do NOT do shoulders the day after you get a shoulder tattoo….just FYI. No weight change for me, but I can see some inches moving again. My shoulder is building like crazy! Plus I can tell all my changes by my before and after pics. Wanna chat about diet or exercise? Tweet me @Sarindre or follow me on MyFitnessPal as korngirl723. Have a great week!

Alright I made it back on track! My husband got some not so exciting news from the Dr this week, so he has decided he should buckle down with me! Which is great news and helps a lot when trying to make change. We are also moving soon, so that means lot’s of work, and packing, and sorting, and cleaning lol The list just doesn’t seem to stop, so while I haven’t exactly been officially working out, I have been working up a good sweat just cleaning and cleaning and cleaning! Good news is that I have had some movement in the weight dept. this week, I am going to imagine it’s water weight and just the junk coming off, and hopefully I can keep it going off haha It’s easier when now that I have someone else on board at home to make good decisions with!
WTD – 20.3 miles
Short update for me this week. I only made it to the Gym once 🙁 . It was a great visit though, went on a date with the boyfriend.
Mothers day was carb city, and I did my best to avoid it as much as possible but the Garlic bread called my name. I’m still paying for that!
I gained some of my weight back too. But that’s okay! This next week will be great!
So I am happy to announce that I was able to get back on track a bit this week. Eating a bit better despite the crazy schedule and making sure I put in some gym time. I also recently picked up The Rock Clock. Letting me wake up to The Rock singing (yes, singing) in the morning. It also comes with a daily video from The Rock for a little extra motivation which despite being a general message still seems to work as it is good to know you aren’t out there trying to do it alone. But enough about any man crushes I may have, back to the point, things are working and I am seeing some results again. I’m switching up my workout routine this coming week so we will see how things go.
Starting Weight: 215.6
Weight at the beginning of the week: 214.0
End of Week: 211.6
Starting weight: 213 (3/1)
Last week: 202 (5/6)
This week: 200 (5/13)
Goal weight: 190
I was really happy to see the scale tipping back at the 2 century mark for the first time since I ran the Tough Mudder almost 2 years ago! Again, weight isn’t the point, and I still have work to do, but it is nice to have measurable progress. I followed through with my plan to make it to the gym three times last week. On day 1, I lifted, focusing on chest, upper back, core, and legs. On day 2, I ran 4.5 miles outside. On Day 3 I lifted again focusing on arms, shoulders, core, and legs. We had another big win in our soccer league this week. We didn’t have many subs, so I played the full 90 minutes, which is a fair amount of running! Plan is to stick with the general workout plan and continue to try to make healthy choices.
Dear Healthy Body,
thank you for healing my septicemia so fast last week. Thank you for allowing the muscle relaxants to work on my neck, so I can sleep better and feel more rested and be able to lots of active things. I will note, that since I’ve been in Nevis, (April 6 til now), I’ve lost 21lbs. Maybe that’s the heat. Maybe that’s me just crying because of the heat. Maybe it’s a mix of the two. Or the swimming for hours now and walks and not wanting to eat because it’s so hot… yeah, I’m giving the heat the credit for now.
So many accomplishments this week! I hit my 60 lbs mark for weight loss last Wednesday which was AWESOME! I’m feeling great and going to my workouts consistently. I’ve got some new clients I’m coaching, and today I was able to put on a tankini I haven’t worn in 3 years!!!! So excited to keep pushing and smashing out goals!
