Hello everyone and welcome to week 12 in the quest of a few internet friends who are trying to get healthy! We want to motivate one another and help each other get on the right track by working out, eating right, and reaching a great state of mind in the process. What a week! I changed my diet. I changed my exercise and I feel amazing! I am doing an amazing push-up challenge with a great group of people and I even had a wellness appointment at the YMCA today at 5:30 am (eww). I love the IIFYM diet since I can eat pretty much what I want and not starve to death, which is what happened to me on my 1200 cals a day! I have been hitting the gym in the mornings and then TKD twice a week. I am even thinking of adding a Yoga class in on Mondays. I have been taking before pictures for comparison and even took my measurements. I am feeling very happy and healthy! I cannot wait to see what next week brings!

So week one on this crazy eat piles of food IIFYM eating plan lol I have had a terrible time sticking to it this week, mainly because I haven’t been home. I am used to being at home and planning everything out, but my week had spontaneous all over and it wrecked me. I also have had to implement protein bars and pre-made shakes in my diet, the amount of protein required for the day is next to impossible to hit without them. I just can’t eat that much food! I feel like exploding haha It does however seem to be working. On days where I stuck to the plan and got close to the goals they set for me, I managed to not change in weight, my changes I am sure come from all the not so great choices I made, like burgers or even stopping at subway when I was away from home! Hopefully this week will be better, today was pretty good, I managed to hit the goals within grams of what I was supposed to. I am pretty impressed with that! Maybe next week I’ll finally drop below that 290 mark that I have been hovering around for a while!

It is I, the elusive Meaghan. I have failed every single health goal thus far, and I’m OK with it. Time to move forward… After this can of coke.
We’re officially moved into the new place, and they have a fitness center. With some friend’s advice, I’m going to go there twice a week starting off. I think I’m setting my goals a bit unrealistic for my body type and I just stop all together. No more of that. I keep comparing myself to what I used to be, and I still think I can do everything. But the sad truth is: I can’t. And that’s okay, but I can’t continue to let the past dictate my future.
I really did bad the week of the move – I ate a LOT of take out and pizza and I’m paying for it this week. I’m taking it as a friendly reminder from my body that I cannot eat certain foods every day. I cannot eat fast food, and I cannot drink coffee anymore. I just can’t do it.
That’s a lot of can’ts, but what I CAN do is start logging my foods again and start going for walks.
