How amazing does that sound?? This recipe includes stuff that we don’t normally eat, since we are making an attempt to get rid of ‘processed’ food and that is what the cream soup and flour would fall under, otherwise was a pretty great recipe. The website, like quite a few recipe places lately loads horrifically slow, and I am not sure I’ll visit it again, simply because the ads and pops up are pretty crazy for a simple recipe like this. I know they need to make money too, but I just don’t think that people will continue to visit your site when it takes 15 mins to load the page in order to get to a little tiny recipe with hardly anything involved. There’s my rant for the day lol
Original recipe: Crock Pot Garlic Bacon Chicken
- 8 slices bacon
- 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 10.75 cans cream of mushroom with roasted garlic soup
- 1 c sour cream
- ½ c all-purpose flour
I’m sure you could use regular cream of mushroom soup and add your own garlic, here at least when you start to get fancy with soup they get more expensive. So you start with wrapping your chicken in the bacon strips, you might need more than 8 slices of bacon if you want the chicken full covered. Place them in the crock pot. Mix all the other ingredients and pour over top of the chicken. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
It says it’s optional to broil your chicken once it’s cooked, but I don’t really see that as optional unless you like soggy cooked bacon lol Which I personally think is totally gross lol To each their own here, but I broil the bacon! Otherwise if I didn’t have time for that or I didn’t want to use an extra pan and add steps I would forget the bacon all together. Soggy bacon would ruin the whole thing for me.
