Budget Idea #8

How often are you opening your bills with a sense of dread? Are you due to pay more than you’re expecting?

Perhaps it’s a good idea to see how efficiently you are using your utilities, and see where you can save money in the long run by doing things like adding weather stripping to your windows and doors, changing light bulbs to energy efficient ones; even installing timers and dimmer switches in your home (if possible) to cut down on consumption.

If you’re able to, consider the possibility of adding solar panels (that might be a bit expensive on the onset, but will save loads of money down the road), or even deleting some of your unused television channels.
