August Book Photo Challenge – Day 2: TBR Pile

Day 2 of the August¬†challenge from Books and Cupcakes! Today’s entry is “TBR Pile.” The focus of this post will be on Stieg Larsson’s fantastic Millenium series, the first book of which is the now-famous The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Like many people, I became interested in this book after seeing Noomi Rapace’s fantastic performance in the 2009 Swedish-language movie directed by Niels Arden Oplev and also starring Michael Nyqvist. And the book has been on my shelf since about 2010, despite good intentions. If you can’t sit through a subtitled movie, the 2011 US version, starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara¬†is also good. Just not as good.

Without further ado, here is the rest of the “pile,” in no particular order.
