I ended my third week of the IIFYM lifestyle and I am so pleased!!! I took the bullet and I emailed one of the coaches on the IIFYM Women Facebook page and got her to calculate my numbers for me since I felt something was a little off. I was right! My original numbers were 130p 140c and 60f. After some great conversation and a lot of explanation I am not sitting at 136p 180c and 63f. Do you see that? MORE CARBS! I am like a kid at Christmas and shoving all the carbs in my face. This is only my second day at these numbers and I am already super happy. This also puts me at 1831 calories a day which I have not been eating (except on cheat days) for a few years. But I feel great. I also added 20 minutes of cardio a day (normally elliptical) while the hubby and I watch The Ranch on Netflix (super funny by the way).  If you are interested in learning more about IIFYM, you should check out their Facebook page (IIFYM Women) or email the coach: iifymcoachingbypaige@gmail.com . This diet is NOT for everyone, but I can tell you for sure it is really change my physical and emotional self. You can also tweet me if you ever want to chat @sarindre.

Well, looks like getting back onto the wagon is going to happen here hahaha I have been so slacking, still, it’s bad! I’ll get there tho. This week I really literally don’t think I did anything that I was supposed to! So I’m really just chiming in to say I am skipping this weeks weight in lol I’ll do better next week, I promise!!! Like even work out, once or twice lol Something has to happen cus my goal isn’t going to reach itself right?

Last week I was SICK. Just for a day, but it was a doozy of a day. Then my kid was even SICKER. And that was even worse than me being sick, because I felt so bad for my little badoo, and because my husband is ONLY HOME WEEKENDS until July for a work project, thus he missed the bulk of the carnage. So, after being sick sick sick on Monday, kindof recovering Tuesday, and my toddler getting sick Wednesday, I was faced with 8 miles between me and my goal of reaching 600 miles by the end of March. I actually ran Monday during an insomniatic patch in the wee hours of the morning pre-flu, but then I took a rest day Tuesday. I was still weak and left with some residual tummy pain on Wednesday, but I wanted to try. I only made it 4 miles. However, I felt a surge of strength during naptime, and I actually ran the next 4 miles, reaching my goal and giving me another rest day Thursday, which I really, really needed because I now realize that I should not have run on Wednesday.

Now that health has been restored, I am facing my next challenge, which is getting some EXTRA miles on top of everything else in the upcoming weeks so that I have wiggle room for when we move. I am optimistic that the week of the move, I will miss 3 days tops, but I’m thinking I can get away with 2. I know, I know – this sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. I get crazy if I don’t get my run in. My husband actually bought me a T. Shirt that says “I Run to Burn Off the Crazy,” I seriously wear it, like, 4 times a week because it’s true, and it warns people to watch out. It’s really a public service announcement. That being said, if I am expected to deal with movers, my toddler, my in-laws, new neighbors, and the overall stress of being around my husband in a situation of this nature, I need to run. I will do what I need to.

I haven’t been on the scale since curiosity got the better of me when I was sick, but I am happy to report that I have a little wigggle room in my skinny jeans. Until Friday, when I am planning an epic cheat night to celebrate my no-longer-vomitting toddler. Cheers!

Wow. This past week has been brutal. I have been working hard on giving up pop and fast food. My migraines have been out of control, and I’ve been able to so far cut down my pop intake to one 20oz every other day (On the weekends I do not drink pop, only when I’m at work!). I’m still weighing it at 250lbs. I’m not entirely sure what is happening, but my IBS has been out of control, and I think it’s my beloved pasta that is the culprit. Or just stress in general! Midterms were last week, and finals are approaching (I take 7 week courses), so my working out has stopped while my anxiety and stress levels have increased. This weekend my partner and I have made a date to work out, so hopefully this will jump start our dedication again. Let me tell you the difference between 230lbs and 250lbs. My feet hurt. My ankles are swelling. The Gas is real – this is a side effect of my IBS but it’s worse than pregnancy gas. My self-body image has been basically trashed. I had issues just walking up stairs. I sweat a lot. I sweat often. I’m sweating right now just typing this. My body aches. I’m tired.

The list goes on and on. If you’re feeling bad, depressed, or anything I mentioned from the above list know this : You are not alone, and we can do this together, one baby step at a time!

Another week into the year, another week closer to summer!! I’ve started doing 10km bike rides almost daily (5x a week). It’s amazing how good it feels to get out and push! I’m looking forward to an amazing week ahead, I weigh in tomorrow. As far as I can see my weight has stayed the same (however I usually gain 5lbs this time of the month) plus I’m pretty sure I’ve gained some muscle! Here’s to continuing to push for summer, and the best health yet!!

This week saw a bunch of hurdles put in my way. I managed to sprain my pinkie playing flag football. It was purple for most of the week and kept in either a home made splint or finger guard. This kept me from the gym this week. Several outings after a difficult week of work led to some less than healthy food choices, not too terrible but still I did manage to take in a new LARP this weekend so I did get some needed exercise. I was happy to see that I was able to stay level this week despite the hazards.
Starting Weight: 215.6
Weight at the beginning of the week: 212.8
End of Week Weight: 212.4
