What a week! I changed my diet. I changed my exercise and I feel amazing! I am doing an amazing push-up challenge with a great group of people and I even had a wellness appointment at the YMCA today at 5:30 am (eww). I love the IIFYM diet since I can eat pretty much what I want and not starve to death, which is what happened to me on my 1200 cals a day! I have been hitting the gym in the mornings and then TKD twice a week. I am even thinking of adding a Yoga class in on Mondays. I have been taking before pictures for comparison and even took my measurements. I am feeling very happy and healthy! I cannot wait to see what next week brings!

So week one on this crazy eat piles of food IIFYM eating plan lol I have had a terrible time sticking to it this week, mainly because I haven’t been home. I am used to being at home and planning everything out, but my week had spontaneous all over and it wrecked me. I also have had to implement protein bars and pre-made shakes in my diet, the amount of protein required for the day is next to impossible to hit without them. I just can’t eat that much food! I feel like exploding haha It does however seem to be working. On days where I stuck to the plan and got close to the goals they set for me, I managed to not change in weight, my changes I am sure come from all the not so great choices I made, like burgers or even stopping at subway when I was away from home! Hopefully this week will be better, today was pretty good, I managed to hit the goals within grams of what I was supposed to. I am pretty impressed with that! Maybe next week I’ll finally drop below that 290 mark that I have been hovering around for a while!

Hello, internet strangers.
It is I, the elusive Meaghan. I have failed every single health goal thus far, and I’m OK with it. Time to move forward… After this can of coke.

We’re officially moved into the new place, and they have a fitness center. With some friend’s advice, I’m going to go there twice a week starting off. I think I’m setting my goals a bit unrealistic for my body type and I just stop all together. No more of that. I keep comparing myself to what I used to be, and I still think I can do everything. But the sad truth is: I can’t. And that’s okay, but I can’t continue to let the past dictate my future.

I really did bad the week of the move – I ate a LOT of take out and pizza and I’m paying for it this week. I’m taking it as a friendly reminder from my body that I cannot eat certain foods every day. I cannot eat fast food, and I cannot drink coffee anymore. I just can’t do it.

That’s a lot of can’ts, but what I CAN do is start logging my foods again and start going for walks.

Until next time, my fellow geeks!

Last week was my birthday week, which I used as an excuse to eat countless servings of Reeses Pieces and at least 1/4 pound of a birthday cake (thanks, Dad). I only ran four days instead of five, although that was partly because I started breaking in new running shoes, and I did so incorrectly. Apparently, running 10 miles right off the bat in new shoes can result in some foot pain. Who knew?
This week I am still getting those shoes broken in, but I am on track to hit over 200 miles this month, and I also want to hit 600 YTD miles by the end of March. I’m planning on staying with my run schedule. We’ll see.
In Netflix news, this year I have finished Nurse Jackie, Fuller House, and am currently through 21 episodes of Friday Night Lights. High School football has turned out to be oddly encouraging during trying runs.

WTD – 21.19 miles

LW – 44 miles
MTD – 159.74 miles
YTD – 547.8 miles

I am doing good!! I can do a push up now! I will say this- my overall image of myself has become more positive as the routine exercises my husband and I complete gets easier as my muscles build. I may have a similar body that I did when I started, but when I look in the mirror, I can see arm muscles and I feel strong.

This week has been pretty great, I’m down another 2 lbs and have been really trying to kick it into high gear. Summer is just around the corner and I’m determined to feel amazing at the lake! I jumped back into our local free fit club which was great, and I started doing the push-up challenge with the group! This week I’m challenging myself and you to drink a gallon of water everyday!! It will help your sleep, and your mental alertness!!
Starting weight – 232
Current weight – 184
