Hello all! The end of last week was a bit rough. Things were busy, we were tired, my husband was sick, and we used all that as an excuse to not work out much. I have to admit that the first night you do not work out, it is a nice break. However, as the nights go on you just lose all motivation to start again in the first place. This is not a good cycle. I did start this week off fresh! I have been working out hard and enjoying (as much as you can) getting back into the groove. I am trying to decide when to use the elliptical and when to go straight cardio. Maybe three days of each every week? I will need to look up what the best stance on working out with cardio versus strength is.
Over all, I have been doing pretty well. We had the kids birthday party last weekend with a bunch of good food plus cake and ice cream of course. The next morning I was up .4 pounds but was back down again. I felt that with all that I ate .4 was very good! Now birthdays are over for a while and I have to make up a meal plan for the weeks to come!

I was totally worried, we had birthday parties (again), and more this weekend, but I have overall been really good, remembering to have lots of veggies with every meal, not to over do it on the snacks and cakes etc… and wow has it ever paid off!! Jillian Michaels is still kicking my butt almost every night too which I am sure helps! Elyntia on MFP if you want to add me! Hope your weeks all went well and it’s starting to pay off! I am seriously looking forward to maybe getting some new clothes for this summer! I am down a total of 12lbs from Jan 4th (310.5) and many inches are missing now!

This past week I did so great, up until the weekend. The weekends are a really big issue with me. My family likes to get together every Saturday and we typically meet at a coffee place. Sometimes we get together at someone’s house, but this is where the donuts, cakes, and other goodies are offered. SUPER tempting. I basically doubled my calorie intake over the weekend.
Not to mention, I ordered pizza on Saturday night. I have IBS, so I knew what I was getting myself into. I basically ordered a salad on a pizza (Spinach, chicken, tomatoes, onions, and green peppers) with a white sauce… It’s healthier, right? Doesn’t matter – IBS knows no difference between white sauce pizza and red sauce pizza. I am still recovering from the bloating and cramping.
Sadly I’m back up to 238 right now. Once I get my diet back on track and exercise, I’m sure that will drop back down. My life partner surprised me with a Fitbit Charge HR last week, I am so excited and have been playing around with what it can do! It’s different, I’m not used to wearing something on my wrist. I’m enjoying it so far!
Let’s talk about some positives: I have successfully logged my food and exercise into MyFitnessPal for 22 days! Don’t forget to add me as a friend if you haven’t already. My username is WoWMeaghan. The more support you have the higher your success rate will be to reach your goals! I am just glad to be sticking with logging/writing notes to help me reduce my IBS attacks. I will be meeting with my GI specialist this Friday, and I’m hoping to get some more answers/resources in how to battle with my IBS and loosing weight.
Another positive: I have not had McDonalds for a week. Maybe even two weeks, but I can’t remember that far back. This is a REALLY big thing for my family, as we enjoy their breakfast items. I have significantly decreased my pop in take as well!
