Hello everyone! This weeks has been full of losses and gains. For some reason, even though I am eating well, the pounds are not coming off like I thought they would. I believe that I am building more muscle with all the Jillian 30 Day Shred I have been doing. I would really like to get a tape measure so that I can take a look at inches and get the full picture. I can already tell my arms and legs are slimming down! We also finally got the elliptical and that has been awesome to add into the workout rotation. As a huge bonus, I get to watch The Good Wife while I elliptical away, and that gives me the willpower to keep on pushing. At least until the episode is over that is.
I have also started meal planning better and making sure that all the food is delicious and good for us. The kids are NOT impressed, but I will give them other options if they will not eat what I made. One major hit (with us not the kids) was Spaghetti Squash Casserole. This was so yummy. I have had friends try it at work and they are all in love and want to make it as well! Plus, it has lasted and given us a few left over lunches as well. I hope your week is going great and you find your motivation. I feel like sometimes mine is lost and needs some prodding.

This was a bit of a frustrating week! I had a birthday party to go to on Saturday, and then I literally did not sleep for more than 4 hours that night, which resulted in waking up Monday morning swollen and stiff, and 4lbs heavier than Friday!! What a disappointment! On the other hand it was good, good to see exactly what my crappy food choices did to me! I slept well Sunday night, cleaned up my diet for Monday, and in the end finished the week off alright. Not fabulous but not a total loss either. As of Tuesday morning I am still sitting at 303 lbs but I gained some ground in the inches department! Which is why I wanted to record both, sometimes you have to check the inches to see the progress and make it worth lacing up those shoes every night to have a date with Jillian Michaels! Hopefully I can keep it together for next week!
Chest – 48.5 ( 0.5 down total)
Waist – 49 (2 inches total)
Hips – 58 (2 inches total)
Hello all! WoWmeaghan here. Week 3 of working on bettering myself. I didn’t post last week as I started a new job, school, and the weather was pretty bad here on Michigan. So it was a little hectic!
Starting weight: 240
Current weight: 238
After work out pic:
I have created a meal plan for the week. I reuse it every week for now, but hopefully I’ll be able to rotate our favorite dishes. I may cut back on the amount of hamburger we eat, because the cheap kind here is loaded with grease and sets off my IBS. Currently there are 3 nights of chicken, 2 nights of hamburger, 1 night of pork chops, and 1 “left overs” night. I may switch that to fish as left overs are scarce around here!
We tried the BBQ hamburger recipe that Elyntia posted and every single one of you needs to try it. It is an amazing way to take your salads and make them even more delicious. I won’t lie – I hate just eating salads, but they are my lunches so I’m trying new ways to add a spin to them. You can find this amazing recipe here
This weeks goals is to work on my will power when I am out and about. A few days I completely bombed my diet! Don’t forget, the more support you have in losing weight the better you do so add me on MyFitnessPal and Instagram!
Until next week my friends!
I’m losing weight in fractions of a pound but everyone says all losses count so I’m remaining upbeat about it. And sometimes when I catch myself from the right angle I think I look slimmer. Other times I catch sight of myself and want to go hide under a blanket but I know that is not the way to develop good self esteem nor be a good role model for my daughter. And this is about health not size (sort of!). I’m still sticking to the slimming world green programme and eating lots of pasta, rice, salad and fruit. I’m using my healthy extras on porridge, Alpen light bars and a little bit of cheese and milk. I’m using syns on chocolate! I’m also rowing – or at least I was on the weekend. Not been so good since work restarted but I’ll find a way of introducing it into my routine. All in all going well and I’ve successfully resisted the work chocolate box my colleagues have decided to introduce!

Another week down, and yet somehow it’s still January. Merghh. Anyone else struggling with this cold? I run first thing in the morning, and I am finding it harder and harder to maintain the motivation to get out of bed. Plus my dreadmill is in my cold, dark basement.
In spite of this considerable adversity, I have again met my weekly mileage, and I have a grand total of 112 miles logged for the month and for the year!!! Only 11.5 months to go. Easy peasy, right?
Last week I did four days of 10 milers, and this week so far my plan is to do five 8s. Two down. Ideally, I’d like to get more miles in to kind of bank some in preparation for our upcoming move. This is definitely proving easier said than done. My goal for next week is to get at least two extra miles in. I’m not hopeful.
Eating healthy has been more or less a complete failure. I credit this with making me feel so unmotivated lately. The excess running makes me want carbs, but the carbs seem to make me feel sluggish. The more probable issues is that I’m eating the wrong types of carbs (ie, wings and pizza). That particular failure was only one day, though. Still. Moving forward, I will strive towards more balance. Except for my one cheat day. I need that day, damn it.
